Sitara Chemical Industries Ltd.- SCIL- was incorporated in 1981 and began producing caustic soda in 1985, initially at a rate of 30 metric tons a day. The plant’s capacity was gradually increased over years to current level of 610 metric tons a day. In addition, various by-product facilities have been added and expanded from time to time to cope with growing demand. Company entered into Textile Spinning Business in 1995. Its specialty chemicals and export division was established in 2001 and agri-chemicals division in 2003 and is now one of the largest Groups in Pakistan.
CPEC is a strategic game changer for Pakistan. This economic corridor is intended to rapidly expand and upgrade Pakistan’s infrastructure, as well as deepen and broaden economic links with China. Considering the geostrategic impact of CPEC, SCIL installed a new state-of-the-art and Coal Fired Power Plant in Faisalabad. Banu Mukhtar Contracting (Pvt.) Ltd was selected as the construction partner for this prestigious project.
Our scope of work comprised the Civil Works for 40 MW Power Plant which was inaugurated and highly appreciated by the honorable Prime Minister of Pakistan on September 3, 2016. Main Power House, 80 meters high Chimney, Cooling Tower, Neutralization Pits, Reactor Pits, Area Development and Boundary wall were all the components of Project.
The work was completed to the complete satisfaction of Client as well as the Design Teams of Chinese Origin. The Production of Electricity is in progress achieving all the milestones of success.
